IBM® SPSS® Amos™ 28

A template is a path diagram that is saved in a file with a name of the form *.amt. The "amt" file naming convention is the only thing that distinguishes a template from an ordinary path diagram. (Ordinary path diagrams are saved with file names of the form, *.amw.)

The default template is called normal.amt. Whenever you start a new path diagram by pressing 1002, the path diagram in normal.amt is used as the starting point for the new path diagram. You can also use 297 to start a new path diagram using a template other than normal.amt.
