IBM® SPSS® Amos™ 28

The deviance information criterion (DIC) is a statistic for comparing the fit of competing models, with smaller values being better. DIC cannot be used to evaluate a single model in absolute terms. The calculation and interpretation of DIC are discussed by Gelman, et al. (2013) and by Lee (2007, page 128).

Amos does not compute the deviance information criterion with non-numeric data (i.e., when there is a check mark next to Allow non-numeric data in the Data Files dialog).
