IBM® SPSS® Amos™ 28

The effective number of parameters (Spiegelhalter, et al, 2002) is a measure of model complexity that is related to the deviance information criterion (DIC). The effective number of parameters is discussed by Gelman, et al. (2013).

Amos does not compute the effective number of parameters with non-numeric data (i.e., when there is a check mark next to Allow non-numeric data in the Data Files dialog).
